Art and Narrative - Vanessa Beecroft

Vanessa Beecroft 

Beecroft uses performances of the body, usually 

consisting of nude or semi-clothed women. 

She uses time and space to create the narrative

and through recording, such as photography 

and films, the installations become a 

documentary of Beecroft's main concept of 

feminism, as seen in VB 53 2002 (below). Eleanor

Heartly refers to fantasy and i thought that 

Beecroft's works fitted with narrative in this 

way, as Beecroft's works usually take the 

audience into another world.
